Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Digital Services Remote Support Specialist to inspect, troubleshoot, and program Building Automation Systems (BAS) remotely. You will collaborate with the Digital Services team and Field Technicians to optimize energy use and address controls questions on-site and remotely.

The role emphasizes clear communication, strong organization, and the ability to work with customers to deliver insights and improvements for BAS performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; typically 3–5 years in HVAC/controls.
• Microsoft Office proficiency; strong computer/handheld device skills.
• Experience with direct digital controls (DDC) systems desirable.
• Network/IT knowledge is a plus for remote monitoring and troubleshooting.

Responsibilities

• Remote inspection, troubleshooting and programming of Customer Building Automation Systems.
• Prepare and share reports on system status with customers.
• Provide support for Emergency calls and triage of controls issues.
• Assist Field Technicians with controls-related questions on-site.
• Identify and implement ECMs and optimization opportunities for BAS.
