Job summary

Trane Technologies is seeking a Digital Services Remote Support Specialist to inspect, troubleshoot, and program Customer Building Automation Systems via Trane’s cloud-based remote tools. You will liaise with the Digital Services team and customers to identify improvements and report findings.

This is a remote position working with field technicians and internal teams to ensure optimal system performance. The role emphasizes communication, problem solving, and energy conservation optimization,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required; HVAC/Controls experience preferred.
• Technical school or formal training is a plus.
• Microsoft Office proficiency and comfort with handheld devices are expected.
• DDC controls experience and IT knowledge are beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Remote inspection, troubleshooting and programming of Customer Building Automation Systems.
• Communicate with customers on system status and generate reports.
• Provide emergency call support and triage controls issues.
• Support Field Technicians with controls questions on-site.
• Identify and implement Energy Conservation Methods (ECM) and optimization opportunities.

Job Summary

In the Digital Services Remote Support Specialist role you will be responsible for inspecting, analyzing, troubleshooting, and programming customer Building Automation Systems (BAS) using Trane’s cloud based remote connection and communicating findings and suggestions to the Customer. You will also work closely with the Digital Services team to identify and implement Energy Conservation Methods (ECM’s) and optimization opportunities for customer sites. This role works closely with Field Technicians to support any controls related issues they may have while on the jobsite as well as other internal teams with technical questions.

Responsibilities

• Remote inspection, troubleshooting and programming of Customer Building Automation Systems.
• Communicating with Customers on the state of their systems and creation of reports on them.
• Customer support for Emergency calls and triage of controls calls that we receive.
• Field Technician controls support.
• Energy Conservation Method (ECM) and Optimization identification and implementation to Customer BAS.

Qualifications

1. A High School Diploma or equivalent required, and typically at least 3-5 years of experience in HVAC/Controls. Technical School or formal training is preferred.

• Operating knowledge of Microsoft office software and working proficiency with hand held computer (i.e. Smartphone, iPad).
• Previous experience with DDC controls systems.
• Network and IT knowledge preferred.
