Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a Building Automation Integration Engineer for OpenBlue CUP projects. You will lead integration and commissioning across district energy plants, supported by a global team, with substantial collaboration with customers to ensure energy performance and operational efficiency.

The role is remote for US-based candidates with up to 50% travel. A strong background in building automation, Metasys, and control sequences is essential for success in this position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or similar discipline.
• 5+ years in building automation controls engineering, programming, and commissioning.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, and LON protocols.
• Leading plant automation startup and commissioning on critical facilities (5+ projects).

Responsibilities

• Lead integration and commissioning of OpenBlue Central Utility Plant (CUP) projects.
• Develop and execute integration test plans for bidirectional communication.
• Lead mapping, configuration, and automation programming activities.
• Train plant operators and end users on OpenBlue CUP capabilities.
