Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking a building controls engineer to design, configure, and operate complete building control systems for diverse projects. You will develop software and coordinate submittals, drawings, and installation with field teams and subcontractors in a remote US location.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering and at least 3 years of experience in construction or HVAC, plus knowledge of control theory and building automation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering with at least 3 years of experience in construction or HVAC.
• Knowledge of control theory, building automation systems and building subsystems.
• Experience with JCI software programming.
• Experience integrating low voltage building subsystems using LON, BACnet, etc.
• Ability to travel regularly.

Responsibilities

• Design, configure, and operate complete building control systems including fire, security, and other low voltage subsystems to meet project requirements.
• Develop and test software programs to operate the system per project requirements.
• Coordinate drawings, equipment schedules, submittals and installation.
• Order materials, coordinate factory mounting, and assist in loading and commissioning of systems.
• Provide field change information and communicate progress to the team, trainers and stakeholders.
