Job summary

Johnson Controls, Inc. is seeking a Building Automation Integration Engineer to lead the integration and commissioning of OpenBlue CUP projects for district energy plants worldwide.

You will work directly with customers, drive project execution, and ensure milestones are achieved to optimize energy performance and operational efficiency. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in CS, CE, or similar.
• 5+ years in building automation controls engineering, programming, and commissioning.
• Experience with BACnet, Modbus, LON protocols.
• Experience leading plant automation startup and commissioning in critical facilities (5+ projects).
• Ability for up to 50% domestic travel.

Responsibilities

• Assess central utility plants and develop scopes for sensors and controls upgrades.
• Create integration test plans for OpenBlue CUP bidirectional communication between CUP platform and plant systems.
• Lead configuration and automation programming for smooth transitions between operating modes and optimal plant performance.
• Validate system functionality and troubleshoot during commissioning and startup processes.
• Build strong customer relationships with regular updates and technical guidance.
• Train operators and end users to leverage OpenBlue CUP capabilities.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to deliver projects safely.
