Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent.
• 3+ years of directly related restaurant cooking and/or baking experience.
• Ability to instruct and train others.
• Alaska Food Workers Card or ServSafe certification upon hire.
• Must pass pre-employment requirements including drug test, physical, fit-for-duty and hearing test.
• Must be able to work as part of a team and make decisions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Perform main line food production duties as per shift.
• Prepare bakery products in a remote camp setting.
• Complete pastry preparations including mixing, baking and frying.
• Review daily needs with supervisors and maintain production sheets.
• Assist supervisors with menu and recipe development.
• Monitor and replenish kitchen items using rotation procedures.
• Cook breakfast, lunch, dinner, beverages, and tray items as required.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness of prep and service areas.
• Oversee staff and ensure quantity and quality control in food production.
• Provide training to food service personnel and supervise as needed.
