Job summary

Sailgene Technology is seeking a Senior Business Development professional to grow our U.S. customer base among universities, research institutes, biotech firms and R&D‑driven clients.

You will promote our sequencing services through conferences, online outreach, client visits and targeted activities. You will understand customer research needs and coordinate with internal teams to tailor sequencing solutions, while managing the complete sales lifecycle from lead generation to contract closure

Qualifications

• Master’s degree or higher in biology, genetics, animal science, plant genomics, microbiology or related fields.
• Candidates with research backgrounds in plant science, agriculture, animal science, aquaculture or related areas are preferred.
• Experience with sequencing or NGS is advantageous and preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop new customers and maintain long-term relationships with universities, research institutes, biotech companies, and R&D‑driven clients.
• Promote Sailgene’s products and services through academic conferences, scientific meetings, online outreach, client visits and other business development activities.
• Understand customer research needs and provide sequencing service solutions in collaboration with internal teams.
• Manage the full sales process from lead gen to deal closure and payment follow-up.
• Maintain customer satisfaction by addressing inquiries and coordinating internal resources for pre- and post-sales support.
• Collect market information and identify regional opportunities to support U.S. expansion.
