Job summary

BD is seeking a Sr. Single Cell Multiomics Sales Specialist to drive BD Rhapsody solutions in the South Central US. The role covers customers and distributors, positioning BD solutions and providing technical and application support to meet revenue targets.

The candidate should have 5+ years in genomic solution sales or support, with emphasis on single cell sequencing, transcriptomics or proteogenomics. Travel up to 40% nationwide is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in life sciences; MS or PhD in life science an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience selling or supporting genomic solutions including single cell, gene expression, mutation analysis or other genomic variation; and techniques such as NGS, library prep, PCR, qPCR and digital PCR.
• Experience selling technologies for single cell sequencing, transcriptomics or proteogenomics highly desired; title/compensation based on experience.
• PC literate; proficient in Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Willingness to travel minimum 40% (domestic).

Responsibilities

• Meet with customers to position BD Rhapsody instrument, consumables and BD total solutions within the territory.
• Drive territory growth through sales activities, negotiations, bid/tender responses, exhibitions, on‑site meetings and demonstrations with technical support.
• Demonstrate and execute a proper sales process to secure opportunities.
• Develop and maintain short/long term sales pipeline to generate revenue and meet targets.
• Provide feedback to business teams on opportunities, threats and market intel.
• Maintain accurate CRM data in Salesforce and provide routine territory performance reports.
• Support collaborative selling with cross‑BD teams and engage distributor sales reps.
• Build one‑on‑one relationships with key distributor reps within assigned areas.
