Job summary

SeqMatic is seeking an Inside Technical Sales Specialist for our Fremont, CA office. You will pursue outbound prospects, qualify leads, and close sales of NGS services, including Illumina and Spatial Transcriptomics offerings.

The role blends scientific insight with sales, requiring deep genomics knowledge and strong customer communication. You will prepare detailed quotes, map client needs to SeqMatic capabilities, and maintain CRM records.

Qualifications

• Strong genomics/molecular biology background to understand NGS applications and customer needs.
• 1+ years in a life science sequencing lab or NGS sales or technical support with customer interaction.
• Excellent English verbal and written communication.
• Familiarity with Illumina and/or 10X Genomics or similar sequencing platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and outbound to customers to generate sales opportunities via email, phone, and video meetings.
• Qualify leads and understand customer pain points and competitive landscape.
• Create quotations that map SeqMatic services to client needs.
• Pursue and close sales orders and align quotes with purchase orders.
• Develop long-term relationships with customers post-sale.
• Log all activities in the CRM and provide updates on submissions.
