Qualifications

• Three plus years’ experience in healthcare billing.
• Previous management experience with supervising staff.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Detail oriented and problem solving.
• Ability to navigate multiple screens quickly.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced team environment.
• Strong communication and professional demeanor.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the payments team and supervise billing systems and staff.
• Oversee daily posting of ERA, payments and related workflows.
• Monitor insurance payer reimbursements and report to leadership.
• Serve as escalation point for payer issues and resolve them.
• Schedule staffing and ensure coverage.
• Maintain policies, trainings and team engagement.
• Identify and resolve complex payment issues across systems.
• Liaise with other departments and third-party vendors.
• Stay current with cash application and regulatory guidelines.
• Identify process improvements and standardization.
• Assist with training, performance appraisals and disciplinary actions.
• Forecast staffing needs with HR for hires.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
