Cox Automotive is hiring a Billing Specialist I to act as the first line of contact for customers via phone and email. You will process invoices, maintain customer accounts, and research billing discrepancies.

The role supports billing workflows, policy compliance, and cross-department collaboration to ensure accurate and timely billing operations. You will work in a flexible setup that can be remote within the United States, with opportunities for additional compensation based on performance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 2+ years of billing experience.
• Clear written and verbal communication; ability to document resolutions.
• Attention to detail, organization, and time management are essential.

Responsibilities

• Process billing transactions, invoices, credits, and adjustments within timelines.
• Set up and maintain customer accounts in billing systems.
• Review and audit billing information for accuracy and completeness.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies and payment issues.
• Post payments and adjustments to customer accounts.
• Monitor reports and identify exceptions or issues.
• Assist with collections activities and payment tracking.
• Collaborate with internal departments to resolve billing concerns.
• Maintain records and supporting documentation; follow policies and regulations.
• Support process improvements to enhance billing efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
