Cox Automotive is seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist I to join our Billing team, either remotely within the United States or in Cherryville, NC. You will handle invoice discrepancies, code and process invoices, and ensure timely billing operations for service providers.

The role emphasizes accuracy, communication, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment within Cox Fleet billing operations. Remote work option available with competitive hourly compensation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with billing processes and data entry preferred.
• VMRS coding and billing experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Contact service providers about invoice discrepancies or inquiries.
• Mark invoices as Work & Cost Complete (WACC) when ready.
• Audit invoices for discrepancies and customer approval limits.
• Drag and drop invoices into proper events in the system.
• Perform VMRS coding and costing of invoices.
• Support rebate and rebill activities for services rendered.
• Respond to PO inquiries and handle overflow calls.
