Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our Billing Services division by reconciling therapy session reimbursements and posting payments across billing systems. You will work with insurance portals, ERAs, and payor contracts while maintaining HIPAA-compliant processes and strong communication with internal teams.

The role requires attention to detail, 1–2 years in payment posting, and experience with insurer portals.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience using insurer portals and billing software.
• Strong attention to detail and communication with internal teams and insurers.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality of all client-related data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting and monitor enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends identified when posting to the AR team for clients.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions with CBA & AR teams.
