Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support its Billing Services team. The role focuses on ensuring timely reimbursement for therapy sessions by reconciling payments and posting them across multiple billing platforms.

Responsibilities include identifying discrepancies, reviewing EOBs/ERAs, and communicating with the AR team to resolve issues. The position requires HIPAA discipline and strong attention to detail.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• Minimum 1–2 years payment posting experience.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience using insurance company websites/portals.
• Willing to learn and maintains a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-compliant confidentiality for all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals and enroll in ERAs when applicable.
• Monitor enrollment progress and reduce manual posting volume.
• Communicate trends to the Billing Advocate / AR team for clients.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Support a positive work environment and take on special projects.
