Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking a Reconciliation Specialist to support our billing teams and insurers, ensuring efficient reimbursement for therapy sessions. You will post payments and actively monitor accounts receivable across multiple platforms.

The role requires HIPAA confidentiality, attention to detail, and solid communication with internal teams and insurers. Prior billing experience and ABA exposure are preferred, with remote opportunities in AL.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or Equivalent required.
• 1–2 years of payment posting experience.
• ABA experience preferred.
• Experience using insurer websites/portals.
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills.
• Willing to learn and positively engaged.

Responsibilities

• Ensure HIPAA-confidential handling of all client data.
• Reconcile payments posted electronically from the clearinghouse.
• Post manual payments in all billing platforms (Rethink, Tebra, Azalea).
• Review and interpret EOBs and ERAs.
• Post payments from insurance portals.
• Enroll in ERAs to reduce manual posting volume and track enrollment progress.
• Communicate trends to the CBA/AR team for client insight.
• Identify underpayments/overpayments and coordinate resolutions.
• Measure and monitor key performance metrics.
• Review payor contracts when applicable.
• Foster a positive work environment; handle special projects as needed.
