Job summary

Profound Research is seeking a Patient Recruitment Specialist to provide remote, centralized recruitment support for high-volume vaccine/flu clinical trials. You’ll focus on patient outreach, lead follow-up, screening, scheduling, and documentation across recruitment systems.

This 1099 independent contractor role offers the potential to convert to full-time based on business needs and performance. You’ll help ensure timely enrollment while upholding patient trust and excellent service.

Qualifications

• Experience in high-volume patient recruitment or clinical research support.
• Strong phone presence and ability to build trust with prospective participants.
• Experience in inbound and outbound patient communications.
• Ability to document accurately across multiple systems.
• Comfort with medical terminology and protocol-driven eligibility questions.
• Technical aptitude with databases, scheduling tools, CTMS, or patient tracking systems.
• Results-oriented with ability to support enrollment goals while maintaining patient experience.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with strong team communication.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-volume outbound outreach to prospective participants.
• Respond to inbound inquiries promptly with patient-centered service.
• Serve as an initial contact, creating a supportive experience grounded in empathy.
• Pre-screen potential participants against study eligibility.
• Schedule qualified participants for screening and coordinate next steps.
• Support follow-up to improve show rates and engagement.
• Maintain accurate records across CTMS and scheduling tools.
• Track outreach activity and recruitment metrics.
• Apply GDP, FDA regulations, study protocols in interactions.
• Communicate status and issues with recruitment leadership and site teams.
• Contribute to a fast-paced recruitment environment with urgency.
• Assist in obtaining medical records to confirm eligibility.
