Job summary

Alta Equipment Group is seeking a remote Business Development Representative 1 with a strong emphasis on lead generation and CRM-driven sales activity. You will work with the regional sales team, qualify opportunities, and coordinate with account managers to advance prospects.

The role requires outbound prospecting experience, clear communication, and a growth-oriented mindset, with occasional travel for staff meetings.

Qualifications

• Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred.
• CRM experience required (Salesforce, Dynamics).
• Previous pipeline management and outbound prospecting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Generate & develop leads for the CRM through calls, emails, LinkedIn and other channels.
• Effectively communicate Alta products and services to customers.
• Lead generation activity with high volume of qualified opportunities; maintain CRM records.
• Follow up on existing leads in the CRM and push qualified opportunities to account managers.
• Build product knowledge and understand customer needs to support regional sales teams.
• Attend trainings and field time to learn territory and focus areas.
• Meet or exceed weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly results.
