Job summary

Aston Carter is seeking a Collections Specialist for a fully remote contract-to-hire role. You will manage AR aging across locations, handle escalations, and communicate with customers via calls and emails to collect outstanding balances.

The position offers a $20.00–$30.00 hourly wage and requires 2+ years in collections, CRM/ERP proficiency, and strong communication skills. The role starts 8–9 AM with an 8-hour shift and unpaid lunch, with benefits eligibility for a temporary position.

Qualifications

• Minimum two years of collection/credit experience.
• Strong customer service focus in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficient with CRM and ERP systems and MS Office.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; able to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage AR Aging reports for locations/subsidiaries.
• Handle escalated accounts and invoices requiring collection efforts.
• Prepare collection letters and coordinate with attorneys as needed.
• Refer accounts to third-party collection or write-off when appropriate.
• Communicate status with Collections Manager and resolve discrepancies.
• Make 30–35 calls per day.
