Job summary

LHH is seeking a Remote Contract B2B Collections Specialist to manage a portfolio of commercial accounts and drive timely collections. You will maintain client relationships while reducing delinquency and improving cash flow.

Key duties include handling full collections lifecycle, prioritizing aging accounts, negotiating payment plans, and collaborating with internal teams to resolve issues. Experience with AR processes and ERP systems is required.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of accounts receivable or B2B collections experience and comfortable working REMOTE.
• Strong understanding of AR processes, aging, and cash application.
• Proven ability to manage multiple accounts and meet collection targets.
• Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
• High attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in Excel and accounting/ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, etc.).
• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business (B2B) accounts and oversee the full collections lifecycle.
• Contact customers via phone, email, and written correspondence to secure payment on past-due invoices.
• Review aging reports to prioritize collection efforts and reduce outstanding balances.
• Investigate and resolve billing issues, discrepancies, short pays, and disputes.
• Negotiate payment plans and collaborate with clients to ensure timely resolution.
• Maintain accurate documentation of collection activity, account status, and payment commitments.
• Partner with internal teams (billing, sales, customer service) to resolve account issues.
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure accurate application of payments.
• Provide regular reporting on collections status, trends, and risks.
