Job summary

Scion Staffing, Inc. is seeking a remote B2B Collections Specialist for a national distribution company. The role is a 3–6 month, fully remote assignment requiring 9:00 AM–6:00 PM local time in the Eastern or Central Time Zone.

You will contact customers, negotiate payments, resolve disputes, and support accounts receivable with D&B reviews and ERP systems; prior experience in B2B collections and strong communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B credit and collections with ability to manage delinquent accounts.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills with professional, customer-focused approach.
• Experience reviewing Dun & Bradstreet credit reports.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office; Eclipse Solar ERP experience is a plus.

POSITION OVERVIEW

Scion Staffing has been engaged to conduct a search for a B2B Collections Specialist on behalf of an established national distribution company. This is a remote, temporary opportunity for a detail-oriented collections professional who can work 9:00 AM-6:00 PM local time in either the Eastern or Central Time Zone .

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage B2B collections activities, proactively contacting customers regarding outstanding balances and securing timely payments.
• Negotiate payment arrangements, resolve delinquent accounts, and maintain professional relationships while confidently pursuing collections.
• Research and resolve billing discrepancies, payment disputes, and account-related issues to support timely resolution.
• Review customer credit information, including Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) reports, to support credit and collections decisions.
• Maintain accurate account records, collection notes, payment commitments, and follow-up activities within company systems.
• Collaborate with internal departments and team members to resolve customer concerns, improve collections efficiency, and support overall accounts receivable operations.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in B2B credit and collections , with demonstrated ability to manage delinquent accounts and negotiate payments.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and dispute resolution skills, with the confidence to request payment while maintaining a professional, customer-focused approach.
• Experience reviewing and interpreting Dun & Bradstreet (D&B) credit reports .
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications; experience with Eclipse Solar ERP or similar systems is a plus.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and self-motivated, with the ability to work independently, manage competing priorities, and collaborate effectively with a remote team.

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS

This temporary opportunity offers $24 per hour , with an anticipated assignment duration of 3-6 months and the potential for permanent conversion based on business needs and performance. The position is fully remote, with a required schedule of 9:00 AM-6:00 PM local time for candidates located in the Eastern or Central Time Zone . Initial training and onboarding will include an in-person component, coordinated locally at a company location or an alternative meeting space. Additional training arrangements will be communicated during the interview process.
