Job summary

Zohorecruit seeks an Automation Engineer to analyze state systems, extract and validate business rules, and collaborate with agency partners to modernize an Integrated Eligibility System (IES). The role emphasizes requirements elicitation, documentation, and alignment with project scope and timelines.

Responsibilities include developing BA deliverables, performing QC for 100% coverage, and coordinating with state staff and vendors across Albany, NY.

Qualifications

• Automation engineering: 3–7 years of experience.
• State-government business analysis experience in human services (EECM).
• Experience eliciting, analyzing, and managing requirements through the SDLC.
• Proficiency producing business process flows, user stories, data dictionaries, wireframes, and specs.
• IES modernization: 3–7 years on modernization programs in health and human services.

Responsibilities

• Analyze existing state systems and document business requirements.
• Extract and validate business rules from legacy systems with 100% coverage.
• Identify rules to retain or retire with agency partners.
• Document current and future state system requirements.
• Develop BA deliverables: process flows, context diagrams, use cases, RTMs, UI specs, mockups.
• Elicit requirements from staff, subject matter experts, end users, and executives.
• Support peer reviews and internal quality reviews.
• Ensure deliverables align with business needs, scope and timelines.
• Collaborate with state employees and vendor teams.
