Job summary

Cloud and Things seeks an Automation Engineer in New York, NY to support the NYS IES modernization program. This Level I role analyzes current-state systems, extracts business rules, and documents requirements for modernization across Eligibility, Enrollment, and Case Management workstreams.

The candidate will collaborate with agency stakeholders and blended State/vendor teams to produce artifacts such as process flows, use cases, data dictionaries, and UI specs, ensuring alignment with business

Qualifications

3+ years of Automation Engineer experience.
3+ years of business analysis experience in state government within the human services domain (Eligibility, Enrollment, Case Management).
3+ years of experience in an Integrated Eligibility System (IES) modernization program.

Responsibilities

Conduct requirements analysis of existing State systems and document requirements for IES implementation.
Collaborate with agency partners to identify legacy rules to carry forward or retire.
Document as-is and to-be IES system requirements and designs (context diagrams, process flows, use cases, RTMs, UI specs).
Meet with stakeholders to elicit, analyze, and validate requirements.
Produce work products supporting system planning, design, and delivery.
Conduct peer reviews and participate in internal review processes within timelines.
Work with blended State and vendor resources on assignments.
