Upstart is seeking a Business Development Representative for Auto Retail in Austin, TX. You will drive revenue by prospecting automotive dealerships, building pipelines, and partnering with marketing and OEM teams to identify key accounts.

A fast-paced environment offers growth and cross-functional collaboration. You will work in a hybrid setup with regular onsite sessions and remote work options, supporting a digital-first sales approach across the US.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is preferred.
• At least 6+ months of Enterprise software / SaaS B2B sales development experience including cold calling and email outreach.
• A track record of measurable success in growing sales pipeline through a targeted account-based approach.
• Strong communication, analytical, and listening skills, with a positive and energetic phone presence.
• Strong work-ethic with a strong sense of ownership, accountability and a desire to continually improve.

Responsibilities

• Account research: identify target dealerships and key decision makers.
• 1:1 sales prospecting: deliver personalized messages via calls and emails to key personas.
• Inbound lead follow-up in partnership with marketing.
• Sales partnership: align with account executives on target accounts and handoffs.
• Structured lead management: update CRM data and support weekly reporting.
• Market insights: provide feedback to improve go-to-market strategy.
• Company support: collaborate on special projects with marketing and OEM teams.
