Job summary

The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Outside Auto Appraiser to service Insureds/Agents in Sarasota/Bradenton, FL. This remote role requires inspecting damaged vehicles, estimating repair costs, and determining actual cash value to settle losses efficiently.

You’ll work with repair facilities and claim teams, using industry-standard estimating software, and provide clear explanations to customers while maintaining high service standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Active adjuster license where applicable.
• Two years auto physical damage appraisal experience or related claim experience.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; strong MS Office skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections at body shops or customer locations.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates to determine parts, labor, and materials needed.
• Evaluate total losses and determine actual cash value using market research and valuation tools.
• Negotiate costs and settlements with shops and claimants to reach fair outcomes.
• Provide outstanding customer service and clearly explain the appraisal process to vehicle owners.
