The Travelers Indemnity Company is seeking an Outside Auto Appraiser to inspect vehicle damage, estimate repair costs, and settle total losses. This remote role supports claim teams and requires strong technical expertise, customer service, and independent work in a fast-paced environment.

Ideal candidates have a bachelor’s degree, auto appraisal experience, and proficiency with estimating and claims software, plus licensed adjuster credentials where applicable.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree and two years auto appraisal experience.
• Active adjuster license, where applicable.
• Proficient in claims management and estimating software; strong communication.
• High School Diploma or GED required.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site or virtual inspections.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard software.
• Evaluate and settle total losses by determining actual cash value.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops and customers.
• Document pre-existing damage and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate with claim reps, shops, and vendors to resolve issues.
• Provide exceptional customer service and keep owners informed.
