Ideal candidates have auto damage appraisal experience, strong customer service skills, and proficiency with estimating software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree is required.
• Active adjuster license, where applicable.
• Two years auto physical damage appraisal experience.
• Proficiency in claims management and estimating software.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and assess vehicle damage via on-site and virtual inspections at body shops or customer locations.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates using industry-standard estimating software.
• Evaluate and settle vehicle total losses through actual cash value research and valuation tools.
• Negotiate repair costs and settlements with body shops, customers, and third parties.
• Identify and document pre-existing damage, prior repairs, and potential fraud indicators.
• Coordinate repairs with claim representatives, body shops, and vendors; authorize supplements.
• Explain the appraisal process to customers and keep them informed throughout the claim lifecycle.
• Adapt to new technology implementations and digital toolRollouts.
