Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead our Sales Engineering function across the US West Coast, Mexico, and potentially South America. This role requires up to 75% travel to promote vacuum technologies and OEM components.

You will build relationships with distributors, manufacturers, system integrators, and end-users in Life Sciences, Medical, Chemical, and General Manufacturing sectors while leveraging solution-based selling.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer-facing vacuum sales experience.
• High School Degree or related technical field.
• Remote with up to 50% travel within the West region.

Responsibilities

• Drive growth through prospecting, structured toll-gate sales processes, and solution-selling practices.
• Manage and acquire distributor accounts; pursue new distribution, reseller, and OEM opportunities.
• Provide technical guidance to OEMs, end-users, and labs to guide pump specification and selection.
