Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Area Sales Manager to lead the Sales Engineering function for vacuum pumps across the US West Coast, Mexico, and potentially South America. Expect up to 50% travel, promoting diverse vacuum technologies and OEM components to distributors, manufacturers, system integrators, and end-users in Life Sciences, Medical, Chemical, and General Manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of customer-facing vacuum sales experience with growth
• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field preferred

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth and expand market share across defined regions
• Manage distributor base and pursue new opportunities with dealers, OEMs, system integrators
• Provide technical guidance to OEMs and end-users for pump selection and lab testing
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to secure new business and profitable growth
• Lead commercial negotiations and define technical specifications in complex deals
• Build multi-level customer relationships across Engineering, Purchasing, and Quality
• Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM data to support strategic objectives
• Leverage vacuum pump knowledge to promote Welch brand and develop new customers
• Execute additional duties as needed to support business needs
