Job summary

Ingersoll Rand seeks an Area Sales Manager for Welch Vacuum to lead the Sales Engineering function across the US West Coast, Mexico, and possibly South America. This role requires up to 75% travel and focuses on solution-based selling to distributors, manufacturers, system integrators and end-users, within Life Sciences, Medical, Chemical, and General Manufacturing sectors.

Qualifications

High School Degree or related technical field.
3+ years of customer-facing vacuum sales experience.

Responsibilities

Drive business growth by expanding market share and using structured sales processes.
Manage and acquire accounts by nurturing distributors and pursuing new opportunities with dealers, resellers, and OEMs.
Provide technical support and act as a trusted advisor to OEMs and large end-users.
Collaborate cross-functionally with sales support, engineering, product management, operations, quality, finance, and demand generation.
Lead commercial negotiations and define technical specifications for complex agreements.
Build multi-level relationships with engineering, purchasing and leadership.
Maintain accurate sales forecasts and CRM data to support growth.
Leverage vacuum pump knowledge to promote Welch brand to customers.
Execute strategic initiatives as required.
