Job summary

Welch Vacuum, a subsidiary of Ingersoll Rand, seeks an Area Sales Manager to lead the Sales Engineering function across the US West Coast, Mexico, and possibly South America. This role requires up to 75% travel and focuses on solution-based selling to distributors, manufacturers, system integrators, and end-users in Life Sciences, Medical, Chemical, and General Manufacturing.

You will champion technical sales, manage distributor bases, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive growth

Qualifications

• High School Degree or related technical field.
• 3+ years of customer-facing vacuum sales experience with growth.
• Willingness to travel up to 75%.

Responsibilities

• Drive business growth and expand market share.
• Manage and acquire distributor accounts and OEM opportunities.
• Provide technical support to OEMs and end-users.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to secure new business.
• Lead major pricing negotiations and define specs.
• Build multi-level relationships with engineers and decision-makers.
• Maintain data integrity with CRM forecasting.
