Job summary

ASSA ABLOY Group seeks an Architectural Sales Representative to guide architectural professionals in door openings design and specifications. You will promote Openings Studio BIM and collaborate with architectural firms to secure bid specifications while traveling up to 40% of the time.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in architectural representation, strong CRM and MS Office skills, and a proactive, client-focused approach to creating value through technical education and consultative selling.

Qualifications

• College/University degree or work experience commensurate with minimum high school/GED diploma.
• At least 2-3 years’ industry related experience in architectural representation, specification writing, or Design-Build construction management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
• Utilization and maintenance of CRM tools for sales and activity reporting.
• Working knowledge of industry-related software is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prospecting & Business Development: Cultivate strategic relationships with architectural design team influencers and specifiers; Identify and secure opportunities to prepare door and hardware specifications; Promote adoption of the Openings Studio BIM tool and present project proposals.
• Consulting & Problem Solving: Deliver targeted continuing education programs highlighting new products and design-assist services; Serve as the point-of-contact for the architect's education and specifications; Assist with product substitution and approval procedures and follow up to ensure specifications are held in the bid process.
• Project Tracking & Technical Support (Spec Writing): Responsible for architectural development, project tracking and gaining approval for our internal writers to prepare door and hardware specification documents; Provide timely and accurate product information for use in project specifications; Work with the team to provide specification support for top architectural firms in the country.
