Job summary

Chart Industries, Inc. is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for the field sales force, driving the technical and commercial evaluation of inquiries to orders for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment.

You will review customer specs, prepare competitive proposals, lead design concept discussions, and coordinate internal teams to ensure on-time, compliant deliveries while maintaining safety and quality standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• 3+ years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment.
• Ability to read P&IDs and technical drawings.
• Experience with API & ASME codes.
• Experience in Oil & Gas, Air Separation and Power Generation.
• Strong communication with internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review customer specifications and develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment to generate competitive technical and commercial proposals.
• Perform technical review of customer/project specs and ensure design meets agreed specifications.
• Lead technical and commercial proposal discussions with customers and guide design concept communications.
• Coordinate internal proposal process across sales, engineering, project management, and supply chain to account for costs and scheduling.
• Maintain accurate records of opportunities, quotes, projects, contacts, and correspondence (Salesforce).
• Promote safety procedures and develop product knowledge for sales and engineering teams.
