Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer to serve as a primary technical resource for the field sales force. You will drive technical and commercial evaluation from inquiry to order, collaborating with sales and engineering to provide reliable solutions and customer satisfaction throughout the sales process.

You will review customer specifications, develop proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment, lead internal proposal efforts, and ensure alignment with cost,

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or related field.
• Three+ years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment or systems.
• Ability to read and understand bid/proposal specs (technical and commercial).
• Competent in reading P&IDs.
• Experience with API & ASME codes.
• Gas dynamics/auxiliary system design knowledge a plus.

Responsibilities

• Review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects.
• Develop and align proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment to generate competitive proposals.
• Perform technical review of specifications and rationalize requirements outside standard scope to meet requirements.
• Lead internal proposal process across teams to ensure complete cost/resource coverage.
• Achieve KPIs such as bookings value, margins, OTD and proposal pipeline.
• Provide safety and product expertise throughout the sales process.
