Chart Industries is seeking an Applications Engineer who will act as a primary technical resource for field sales, evaluating inquiries and driving technical and commercial proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment. You will partner with sales and engineering to deliver robust, compliant solutions.

The role requires a BS in Engineering, experience with rotating equipment, and strong communication skills. Remote work is available with travel as needed.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering or another related field.
• Experience in centrifugal air/gas turbo-expander/turbo-compressor / turboexpander-gear-generator or other rotating equipment
• At least three (3) years of experience in bidding/proposal preparation for engineered equipment or systems and the ability to read and understand bid/proposal specifications, both from a technical perspective and commercial perspective, as related to Contractual Terms and Conditions
• Competent in reading technical drawings including P&IDs
• Experience with API & ASME codes
• Expertise in Gas Dynamics / Auxiliary System Design / Control & Electrical or Mechanical Design a big plus
• Knowledge of computer software: AutoCAD, SolidWorks, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project
• Experience in the Oil & Gas, Air Separation and Power Generation required
• Experience in Risk Assessment analysis a plus
• Strong communication skills to interface with internal personnel and external customers
• Self starter who can work independently without close supervision

Responsabilidades

• Receive and review customer specifications for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects while developing and aligning proposals.
• Perform technical review of customer/project specifications and identify requirements outside of standard scope/design.
• Perform calculations and product selections to meet process needs.
• Lead technical and commercial proposal/design concept communications with the customer.
• Drive internal proposal process across sales, engineering, and management to align costs and schedules.
• Maintain records of opportunities, quotes, projects, and communications in company systems.
