Job summary

Chart Industries is seeking an Application Engineer to serve as the primary technical resource for the field sales force, driving technical and commercial evaluation from inquiry to order. You will collaborate with sales, engineering, and customers to deliver competitive proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders and related equipment while ensuring safety and quality.

You will review specifications, perform calculations, and lead internal processes across teams to secure new business

Qualifications

BS in Engineering or related field and relevant experience.
Three years bidding/proposal experience for engineered equipment.
Ability to read bid/specifications and technical drawings (P&IDs).
Experience with API and ASME codes and rotating equipment is a plus.
Strong communication and independent work ethic.

Responsibilities

Receive and review customer specs for technical and commercial requirements for new equipment projects.
Develop and align proposals for centrifugal turbo-expanders, turbo-compressors, and related equipment and services.
Perform technical reviews to ensure designs meet agreed specifications.
Lead technical/commercial proposal communications with customers to steer acceptance.
Drive internal proposal process across sales, design, and supply chain to cover costs and legal needs.
Aim to meet KPIs such as bookings value and OTD while ensuring safety practices.
Provide product and design knowledge, train sales and engineers, and support consultants.
