Job summary

ABB is seeking an experienced Application Engineering Manager for Electrification Services to lead the U.S. Application Engineering organization in support of Commercial Operations and Sales.

You will drive customer-focused technical solutions, ensure high-quality SOWs and JCEs, and develop a high-performing team of application engineers. This remote role requires 12+ years of relevant experience, including leadership of dispersed technical teams, and travel up to 25% within the United States.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; Electrical Engineering degree preferred.
• Travel up to 25% within US.
• 7+ years in application or field engineering in power delivery and related sectors.
• 5+ years of customer-facing experience in oil & gas, metals, mining, data center or similar.
• Experience leading geographically dispersed technical teams.
• Experience with proposal development, SOW creation and job costing.
• Authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing Application Engineering team.
• Provide technical leadership and customer solution support across the ELSE portfolio.
• Drive proposal excellence and improve cycle times with Commercial Operations.
• Standardize engineering processes and develop training programs.
