Job summary

Leica Biosystems, part of Danaher, seeks an Applications Consultant for the UKI region. This remote role (home-office based) covers the South West territory with up to 80% travel to customer sites, delivering instrument demonstrations, training and commercial support to drive reagent and product sales.

You will train customers, troubleshoot issues, assist in tender responses, and work with the Leica team on business strategy to maximize uptime and performance of systems.

Qualifications

• BA/BSc in Biomedical Science, Life Science or equivalent.
• Multiple years’ experience in histology.
• Knowledge of staining, tissue processing and immunohistochemistry.
• Experience with histology instruments and reagents; troubleshooting.
• Strong presentation and training capabilities; comfortable with executives.

Responsibilities

• Deliver instrument and software training to customers.
• Troubleshoot and assist with application issues.
• Support with assay optimization, validation and verification.
• Demonstrate instruments and assist in tender responses.
• Support Account Manager and attend trade shows.
• Collaborate with local Leica Biosystems team on strategy.
