Job summary

Morley is seeking a senior leader to head its Appian center of excellence. Remote role for Michigan residents, you will set strategic use of the Appian platform, guide architecture and development standards, and help teams deliver scalable, secure applications that meet business needs.

You will mentor developers, own platform direction, oversee governance and delivery frameworks, and partner with stakeholders to translate requirements into actionable delivery plans while ensuring quality and

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Computer Science or related field.
10+ years of IT experience, including 5+ years as an applications development leader.
Deep technical experience with the Appian platform, including solution design, development and established Appian design patterns.
Senior-level experience in software development, technical leadership or solution architecture.
Strong background in software delivery methods and application architecture.
Experience with integration technologies including web services, FTP and JMS.
Proven people leadership experience: managing teams, mentoring developers and overseeing delivery across multiple projects.

Responsibilities

Set Appian strategy and oversee solution architecture across projects.
Define Appian design patterns, development standards and best practices.
Guide architecture and design for new applications and integrations.
Lead project scoping, planning and delivery execution with teams.
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate requirements into delivery plans.
Oversee multiple projects, ensuring timelines, quality and priorities.
Provide technical leadership, coaching and growth support to developers.
Build a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Oversee COE governance, assets and delivery frameworks.
Advise leaders on Appian capabilities and risks.
Ensure secure, scalable integrations with external systems.
Manage vendor relationships and platform operations.
Own production support and IT service management.
Coordinate security with Morley’s cybersecurity officer.
