Job summary

Lumen is seeking an API Technology Architect to join the SWAT team, focusing on API-driven automation, integration design, and customer enablement. You will lead technical discovery, document integration patterns, and collaborate across product and engineering to deliver scalable solutions.

You will engage with customers and Technical Sellers, deliver architecture workshops, and create reusable API resources while traveling as needed to support multi-product opportunities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Telecommunications, or related field, or equivalent relevant education and experience.
• 10+ years of experience in technical pre-sales, solution architecture, API/integration architecture, software or platform consulting, or telecommunications engineering.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical discovery and translating customer requirements into clear designs.
• Knowledge of API authentication/authorization concepts, including OAuth 2.0 and secure secrets handling.
• Strong communication and facilitation skills for diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery with customers and account teams to define objectives, automation goals, and security requirements.
