Job summary

McGarrah Jessee in Austin, TX is seeking an early-career accounting professional to support the Controller group by processing vendor invoices, maintaining vendor records, and preparing payment runs. You will reconcile vendor accounts and ensure proper coding and timely payments.

You will also assist with media payables, matching invoices to media orders, resolving discrepancies with Media teams, and contributing to the month-end close process. Flexible work-from-home options are available.

Qualifications

• 0–2+ years of accounts payable or junior accounting experience.
• Experience processing invoices and reconciling vendor accounts.
• Advertising, media, or production experience preferred.
• Experience with media vendors, insertion orders, or media schedules is a plus.
• Foundational understanding of accounts payable and accrual accounting.

Responsibilities

• Vendor onboarding and management as part of the AP process.
• Process and log invoices and credit memos accurately.
• Prepare scheduled payment runs and ensure approvals.
• Reconcile AP subledger to the general ledger and assist close.
• Support compliance and drive improvements in AP workflows.
