Job summary

Charter Impact is a remote-first nonprofit financial support partner seeking an Accounts Payable Associate. This role emphasizes accuracy, timely invoice processing, and strong client service while working with SOPs and guidelines.

You will document vendor data, manage weekly check runs, and support audits within a nationwide remote team. The position requires ERP experience (Sage Intacct preferred), solid Excel skills, and a customer-service mindset to maintain positive vendor relations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or related field.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of financial record-keeping practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records for multiple entities.
• Process invoices timely and code to correct GL accounts.
• Perform weekly check runs and manage vendor files.
• Generate AP aging and share with clients as needed.
• Communicate with clients to resolve discrepancies and inquiries.
• Support year-end audit schedules and process improvements.
