The Accounts Payable Associate is highly visible to Charter Impact clients and requires an upbeat, customer-service oriented professional who can document information for new vendors, process invoices, perform GL coding, and

Qualifications

• High school diploma with two years of related experience or a bachelor’s degree in business, accounting, public administration, or a related field.
• Accounts payable experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of financial record-keeping and accrual accounting principles.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Sage Intacct or similar nonprofit accounting systems is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform accounts payable duties with accuracy and timeliness to maintain positive vendor relations.
• Verify cash availability and perform payment selections.
• Provide data entry and GL coding for invoices for multiple entities.
• Generate AP aging and share with clients as needed.
• Notify clients of vendor discrepancies and ensure follow-ups.
• Resolve inquiries from clients and multiple entities via email and phone.
• Generate use tax reports and submit to the AP Analyst.
• Assist in special projects and year-end audit schedules.
• Focus on process improvement and efficiency using latest industry developments.
