Job summary

RethinkFirst is seeking an AP Specialist to join our accounting and finance team in a remote-first capacity. You will manage the full-cycle AP process, enter invoices in Sage Intacct with accurate GL coding, and help maintain strong internal controls.

You will reconcile AP-related GL accounts, review employee expense reports, oversee the procurement tool, support month-end close and audits, and ensure policy compliance.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of full-cycle accounts payable experience; bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance preferred.
• Strong understanding of accounts payable principles and general accounting practices.
• Advanced Excel skills (ability to create pivot tables, VLOOKUP functions).

Responsibilities

• Reconcile AP-related general ledger accounts and assist with month-end close activities.
• Review and process employee expense reports and corporate credit card transactions.
• Serve as the point person for our procurement tool, including user support and approval workflow maintenance.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
• Assist with audit requests and provide AP documentation as needed.
