Job summary

Axon is seeking a Professional Services Manager to be the operational engine behind fixed ALPR deployments nationwide. You will lead site installs, coordinate contractors, validate technical specs, troubleshoot on site, and ensure agencies are ready from day one.

This is a post-sale, customer-facing role reporting to the Sr Manager, Professional Services. Location is remote from the United States with extensive travel and collaboration with permitting, vendor, and engineering teams to align

Qualifications

• 2–4 years in field operations, deployments, or infrastructure installation.
• Experience with electrical systems (110VAC and 12VDC) and power troubleshooting.
• IP-based Ethernet networks knowledge (LAN/WAN/VPN) and basic troubleshooting.
• Strong field coordination and contractor engagement skills.
• Ability to train customer technical contacts and communicate with senior public safety leaders.
• Proficiency with field management tools (Asana, Salesforce, Slack, Zoom).
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in a technical field.
• Ability to work independently and in a fast-paced team.
• Willingness to travel nationwide; live near a major airport.
• Valid U.S. driver's license.
• Physical ability to lift up to 75 pounds; CJIS Level 4 eligibility.
• Military or law enforcement tech experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support ALPR deployments from pre-wire to full activation, including power prep, equipment setup, and field testing.
• Conduct hands-on site validation and troubleshooting.
• Interpret site drawings, power plans, and mounting guides to validate installation.
• Coordinate and execute field commissioning tests with the customer.
• Lead on-site during installs, ensuring alignment with safety standards.
• Work with contractors, AHJs, and utility providers to clear barriers.
• Capture photos, logs, and field data to improve processes.
• Create network diagrams and documentation to support design and planning.
• Deliver deployment reports.
• Engage with Chiefs of Police and other senior officials.
• Train primary technical contacts and end users.
• Escalate product irregularities to Product Managers.
• Partner with project managers and permitting leads.
• Communicate status across Slack, Quip, Smartsheet, Salesforce, Zoom.
• Ensure milestones align with go-live timelines.
• Cross-train on other Axon products.
• Uphold Axon's standards for craftsmanship, safety, and public representation.
• Troubleshoot and adapt to site conditions.
• Deliver results in diverse jurisdictions and field environments.
• Stay flexible as projects and priorities change.
