Job summary

Axon is seeking a Project Manager to own and accelerate the permitting process for ALPR deployments, guiding teams through regulatory hurdles and standardizing scalable workflows. You will engage with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) and coordinate with engineering, compliance, and legal teams to ensure audit-ready approvals.

The role demands deep regulatory knowledge, strong communication, and scalable process design for high-volume deployments, with remote work and 30% travel.

Qualifications

• 4+ years managing infrastructure, utility, or construction permitting.
• Expertise with NEC, NFPA, zoning, environmental regulations.
• Certifications such as PMP, ICC Permit Technician, OSHA 30; LEED preferred.
• Proficiency in GIS, CAD, Asana, and permit tracking systems.
• Strong analytical, documentation, and process-building capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Interpret, anticipate, and influence local and regional permitting dynamics.
• Act as the regulatory liaison between Axon and AHJs.
• Optimize permitting timelines in alignment with ALPR project schedules.
• Provide permitting forecasts and impact guidance to project teams.
• Advocate for permitting considerations during early-stage project planning.
