Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced engineer to turn emerging AI capabilities into durable products. You’ll work close to users, decisions, and production code, with founder-like ownership and a bias for testable prototypes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years of relevant experience across full-stack product engineering.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• Proven end-to-end delivery from concept to launch, adoption, and learning.
• Broad technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud tech.
• Hands-on experience building products with large language models, retrieval, or AI tools.
• Experience with automated testing and behavioral evaluation in live services.
• Ownership of telemetry, reliability, incident response, and performance improvements.
• User-centered approach with collaboration with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Strong engineering craft with clear specs and maintainable code.
• Willingness to travel up to 50% and work in a hybrid office setting.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user and understand real workflows.
• Test assumptions quickly through concise specs and small releases.
• Own complete product slices across experience, services, data, and AI behavior.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and tools.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Instrument journeys to link adoption to system performance and cost.
• Ensure responsible use with data handling, checks, and safe rollbacks.
• Release incrementally and monitor live behavior to improve.
• Balance experience, quality, speed, reliability, and cost.
• Share reusable patterns while maintaining accountability for performance.
