Ideal candidates have founder-like ownership, test-driven development, and the discipline to simplify when evidence calls for it. The role involves hybrid on-site work in the US and up to 50% travel.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field.
• End-to-end delivery: taking software from concept to launch and adoption.
• Technical breadth across frontend, backend, API, data, and cloud technologies.
• Applied AI experience with language models, retrieval, or tools.
• Evaluation experience with automated tests and behavioral evaluation.
• Live-service ownership including telemetry, debugging, and incident response.
• User-centered practice working with users, designers, and product leaders.
• Engineering craft with clear specifications and maintainable code.
• Travel up to 50% and hybrid on-site office attendance.

Responsibilities

• Start with the user by working with users and domain experts to identify value.
• Test assumptions quickly with concise specifications, prototypes, and small releases.
• Own complete product slices spanning experience, services, data, AI behavior, and integrations.
• Shape AI behavior with instructions, context, retrieval, and structured outputs.
• Build the evidence system with representative tasks and automated evaluations.
• Connect outcomes to user behavior, latency, and cost through instrumentation.
• Engineer for responsible use with data handling and governance.
• Own production quality with incremental releases and incident response.
• Make practical trade-offs balancing experience, quality, speed, and cost.
• Contribute reusable patterns and patterns and tools for the broader platform.
