Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group is seeking a Model Risk Advisor to work remotely across the United States ( Hawaii and Alaska excluded). You will promote AI governance, build model inventories, assess risk, and help implement governance frameworks while collaborating with risk, audit, and IT teams.

The role requires 4+ years in model risk or AI governance, a related Bachelor's degree, and strong communication skills. CSAA IG offers a remote-first environment with competitive pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of model risk management experience.
• Experience in AI model governance or audit is required.
• Knowledge of privacy, security and AI governance standards.
• Ability to communicate complex topics clearly to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

• Promote AI governance policies and responsible AI practices.
• Maintain inventory of statistical, ML, AI, and GenAI models with ownership and risk ratings.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Implement and maintain model risk management frameworks and controls.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance.
• Support model validation and testing with defined scope and findings.
• Participate in AI governance oversight activities (audits, reviews).
• Develop metrics and executive insights on AI governance and risks.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk, auditors, and external suppliers on governance docs.
• Monitor regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
• Identify opportunities to improve governance processes and tooling.
