Job summary

CSAA Insurance Group, a leading AAA insurer, seeks a Model Risk Advisor (Remote) to strengthen AI governance, risk management, and policy compliance across the enterprise. You will inventory models, assess risk, monitor controls, and collaborate with risk, audits, and analytics teams to close gaps.

The role is remote anywhere in the United States (excluding Hawaii and Alaska). A strong background in model risk, governance frameworks, and regulatory awareness is required, with 4+ years’

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information management, data science or a related field.
• Four years of work experience in AI Model governance, Model Risk Management, or Audit, information management can be substituted in lieu of a degree in addition to the minimum years of work experience.
• Knowledge of compliance monitoring and/or auditing principles.

Responsibilities

• Promote awareness and adoption of AI governance policies, standards, and responsible AI practices.
• Establish and maintain inventory of models with ownership, risk ratings, and metadata.
• Assess model risk based on complexity, regulatory requirements, and business impact.
• Monitor governance controls, KRIs, and policy compliance; call out issues as appropriate.
• Support model validation and testing activities with scope and findings.
• Develop reporting and executive insights on AI governance and model risk.
• Collaborate with Enterprise Risk, auditors, and external vendors to maintain governance docs.
• Stay updated on regulatory expectations related to AI and model risk.
