Job summary

Voice Systems Engineering, Inc. seeks a senior leader to own AI enablement and transformation across the organization. This remote-first role focuses on prototyping, shipping AI agents, and establishing guardrails so non-engineers can safely use AI tools.

You will coordinate AI champions across functions and define the stack and governance. You will consolidate ongoing AI initiatives, set standards, and drive a measurable uplift in adoption, quality, and efficiency while reporting weekly results

Qualifications

• Proven track record building and shipping AI agents, automations or tools used in practice.
• At least 7 years in technology, operations, product, consulting or transformation roles with 2+ years in applied generative AI.
• Fluency with prompting, agents, tool use, evaluation and major model providers.
• Ability to prototype and troubleshoot via APIs without heavy engineering support.
• Experience rolling out AI/automation to non-technical workforce with measurable gains.
• Experience establishing governance or data-handling policies in live environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship AI capabilities: prototypes, agents, evaluation frameworks, and deployable workflows.
• Lead hands-on enablement across the company with playbooks, sessions, and AI champions network.
• Redesign core workflows to leverage AI capabilities in real work, not merely automate existing steps.
• Own the AI scorecard: publish weekly results and adjust targets transparently.
• Decide tooling stack, evaluate models and platforms, and avoid tool sprawl.
• Establish guardrails: graduated autonomy, provenance, data classification, and policy alignment with Legal/HR/IT.
• Manage the pipeline from intake to rollout and maintenance, retiring underperforming initiatives.
• Ensure output quality with sources, retesting, and clear human oversight where required.
• Support team wellbeing: balance capability gains with workload and prevent burnout.
